  3. NOTES:  This is a single NAM unit.
  4.         The ESN prefix is 165 decimal, A5 hex.
  5.         Radio Shack: 817-390-3244

  7. If the security code is known you can access LOCAL MODE by following
  8. these steps.
  9.  
  10. 1.  Turn power on.
  11.  
  12. 2.  Enter * 1 7 * 1 0 0 3 * S S S S S *, where SSSSS is the security code,
  13.     12345 is the factory default, (you will hear static from the ear piece).
  14.  
  15. 3.  Go to PROGRAMING step number 2 below.
  16.  
  17. If the security code us unknown you can try the following:
  18.  
  19. 1.  Open the handset connector (black "D" plug) and solder a jumper
  20.     between pins 1 and 14.
  21.  
  22. 2.  Remove the handset ear-piece pad to expose a hex screw, remove this
  23.     screw.
  24.  
  25. 3.  Remove the two rubber plugs located either side of the microphone,
  26.     remove the two screws.
  27.  
  28. 4.  Carefully split the handset apart.
  29.  
  30. 5.  Locate the white 28 pin connector that connects the two PCB's, just
  31.     below this connector is a factory installed jumper.  Install a second
  32.     jumper to the left of the factory installed one.
  33.  
  34. 6.  Reasemble hanset and connector.
  35.  
  36. 7.  Congratulations!  You now have a Mobira test handset.  This modification
  37.     is transparent during normal operation.
  38.  
  39. PROGRAMING:
  40.  
  41. 1.  Enter LOCAL MODE (test mode) by pressing 01# (you will hear static
  42.     from the ear piece).
  43.  
  44. 2.  Enter NAM program mode by pressing 48#.
  45.  
  46. 3.  Data is entered in the following format: STEP NUMBER, DATA, *.
  47.     For example to set the station class mark to "00" enter 400*.
  48.  
  49. 4.  Data can be entered in any order.
  50.  
  51. 5.  Press * to exit NAM program mode and return to LOCAL MODE.
  52.  
  53. 6.  Press 02# (or turn power off) to return to normal operation.
  54.  
  55. 7.  You may also enter NAM read mode by pressing 49# from local mode.
  56.     Press N* (where N is the step number) to read the data stored in that
  57.     location.
